Goal Setting for The Year Ahead - 2021 Edition

Goal Setting for The Year Ahead - 2021 Edition
Like many of you, I fell into a pit of despair and panic and at times I was wallowing in a puddle of apathy.  2020 was a year full of anxiety, number watching, constant wondering what was going to happen next. I found it so difficult to focus on positives. So we need to forgive ourselves, and we need to move forward. 2020 sucked. And I am going back and filling in the blanks in my Reflections Journal so I don't have too much empty space. I'm also decorating because who doesn't love a snazzy journal? But ...

A New Perspective on Self-Care

A New Perspective on Self-Care

Self-care is far more complicated than taking a bath ... I have started to realise that for me its about making decisions that impact my future self in a positive way, and while a bath is a form of self care, it's impact can be fleeting.

Procrastinating is postponing decisions, either for yourself, or someone else - even if that someone else is actually you, the you-in-the-none-too-distant-future.

So I have been asking myself, asking the current version of me, what would future-version-of-me appreciate?

Your Guide to Creating a Vision Board
If you have heard or seen the term “vision board” and you have wondered whether this tool works for people,  the good news is does!  A vision board is effectively what the name implies - a visual board (usually a poster, or large sheet of paper) filled with imagery, symbols, colours and quotes that reflect what you wish to create in your coming year. And for those wondering what I mean by the term “vision” - I describe it as the mental image that comes to mind when you think about what life might be like if you achieved all your desires. Once you have that mental picture in mind, it’s about finding images that collectively reflect the vision.
